Residence Cleaning Checklist

Are you tired of looking at the walls of your home? Your clothes closet has been on your to-do list to fix for more than a while now. You really need a clean house, but you lack a starting point.

Here is a complete residence cleaning checklist:

Kitchen

  • Clean cabinets, shelves & drawers
  • Disinfect the sink with cleaning products.
  • Clean the microwave inside out, including the rotating tray
  • Clean under the stovetop by twisting up the knob.
  • Dust the top of the fridge
  • Empty the fridge and freezer and clean the drawers carefully.
  • Clean garbage cans/bins & recycle bins.
  • Wipe the hood fan’s inner and outer surfaces with a grease remover for a sparkling clean look.
  • Clean kitchen table
  • Empty the dishwasher
  • Release kitchen trash

Bathroom

Toilets, being shared by everybody, need cleaning every day. 

  • Clean sink, shelves & cabinets
  • Clean toilet seat 
  • Dust blind and lock ledges
  • Scrape and remove scaling on walls and floors
  • Clean the faucet
  • Clean the showerhead
  • Shake out the bathmats
  • Make mirror shine with glass cleaner 

Bedroom

  • Dust, Wipe- Down, and sterilize all desk surfaces 
  • Clean under the bed
  • Mop floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Clean the mattress 
  • Remove all items and clean the drawers
  • Wipe the windows and mirrors 

Floors

  • Finish by wiping and vacuuming all the floors (the kitchen, bathroom, and the bedroom).
  • Take dirt off other dust-prone areas.

Furniture

  • Clear tables and chairs with a wet towel.
  • Dust ceiling fans
  • Vacuum carpets
  • Dust lamps and lampshades
  • Make sure all furnishings are in the original container suite layout.

Walls & Doors

  • Take off all posters, stickers, and decorations.
  • Where needed, clean walls and pay particular attention to food prep sites such as the kitchen area and the restroom.
  • Dust picture frames
  • Do both the sides of the doors and their jams.
  • Clean the door knobs and handles.

Throughout The House

  • De-clutter 
  • Put things back where they belong
  • Knock down cobwebs
  • Vacuum the entryway, hallway, and stairs
  • Vacuum upholstered furniture
